Ludi Fecundus: fertile play, the game that creates the world, as in India’s Lîla or the Native American Trickster tales. Rolling through my mind were creation myths, primal forces of continents gleefully heaving each other aside in a long-ago world.
The pieces on this album were improvised on an UrbanStrings electric violin from Argentina, an octave below a normal violin, its impulses passed through the computer with a variety of sonic filters.
